A friend of mine asked me a random question yesterday. She said, "If you could invite 15 people, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would you invite?"
I thought of a few right off the bat, but then the last 5 or so took some good thought. She already had her list written out on paper, which gave me a few ideas.
So, although it will likely change, my first list is here, in alphabetical order. Now I pass the question to anyone interested in sharing: Who would you invite?
Bono
My brother
Ray Charles
Thomas Edison
Albert Einstein
Mahatma Gandhi
Thomas Jefferson
Jesus of Nazareth
Martin Luther King, Jr.
John Lennon
Mark Twain
Will Smith
Brian Williams
Orville Wright
Wilbur Wright
What a fun question!

Zhuangzi
Rumi (!)
Zhaozhou
Oscar Wilde
Danny Kaye
John Lennon
George Harrison
Vijay Singh

I don't know how well Jesus and Seth Green would mix together, but it would be interesting to see the group dynamic at that party. Can it be a slightly more fun party, like can I have it at Chuck E. Cheese's?
A fun post! Interesting to hear people's answers. Mine for now:
Cezanne
Matisse
George Carlin
Bill Clinton
Jesse Jackson
Martin Luther King Jr.
Thich Nhat Hanh
Elton John
Tom Waits
Oprah
Diana Shore
Whoopie Goldberg
Molly Ivins
Susan B. Anthony
Maya Angelou
This is a great idea. I'm gonna have to think about it. I'll be back...
